Hello my loves, and welcome to An Inquisitive Mind – Illumination through Christ.
Ok, so I wanted to share a little bit of a testimony in today’s post and I pray that God blesses you as you read and meditate on His word.
He RESCUES me
A few days ago I came across Isaiah 12:2, which brought me to reflect on the year – 2024. This of which was truly a year of restoration and healing for me in so many ways; in terms of my health, family, career, my relationships with loved ones and the beginning of forgiveness of self.
Whenever I think about this year I also cast my mind back to the years prior. Looking at Joel 2:25-26, the Contemporary English version states: ‘I, the Lord your God, will make up for the losses caused by those swarms of locust I sent out to attack you. ‘My people, you will eat until you are satisfied. Then you will praise me for the wonderful things I have done. Never again will you be put to shame’.
For the fact I can see that this is my testimony… and that I am living in answered prayers right now – I am truly grateful.
Yes things may not be ‘picture perfect’ BUT this doesn’t take away from the fact He is a GOOD GOD.
As I take a moment to reflect on that and also on where He has brought me from I can feel an overwhelming sense of His love and comfort.
Thus, confirming He is God with me – as He always has been.

He SAVES me
The reason I say ‘saves’ is to emphasise the present circumstances. If I was to say ‘saved’ it wouldn’t be a lie because it is true but I continually rely on God to save me. This being on a daily basis from the things of this world but also from myself.
As scripture says in Mark 26:41, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak and I can think of a number of ways my flesh may have failed me. This being in my thoughts, actions and even my speech in relation to the very thing the Lord warns us about. The lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life (1 John 2:16).
Although, with this consciousness I am grateful for redemption and the fact that HE saves me time and time again – from my flesh and all all that the enemy may try and use to hold me bound (John 10:10).
I can trust in Him to save me and need not be afraid or give in to enemies attempts to discourage, distract and/or make me doubt (Ephesians 6:10-16) .
I can let go of every insecurity and anxious thought knowing that my power and strength comes from the Lord – no one else !
What a privilege it is to experience life, love and freedom through relationship with Him (Galatians 5:1, Romans 5:8, Romans 8:38-39 and 2 Corinthians 5:17).

He is my HIDING PLACE
God is our hiding place and He lights up our darkness (Psalm 32:7 and Psalm 18:28). Through the knowledge that His ways are higher than our own ways comforts me. This being as I have experienced so much more stability and safety through knowing Him and being loved by Him (Psalm 91:9).
For as we look unto the hills He is where our help comes from and may we never forget it ! (Psalms 121:1-3).

Let’s pray
Father Lord, I thank you for saving me from myself and wiping away every blot of transgression and iniquity. Please help me not to give into my flesh and all the desires that come from the world but instead, help me to find solace in you and obey your will and your word for my life. I pray that I will stop taking your love, grace and mercy for granted but will better believe in your promise that absolutely nothing can separate me from your love. Thank you for loving me, seeing me and renewing me on a daily basis.
In Jesus mighty name, Amen x
Ps. I appreciate you all xx
